NamaPhone — Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 1, 2026

NamaPhone is a private, non-commercial messaging service operated by a single individual for one elderly family member, so that her own relatives can send her text messages and photos that she reads on a simple home device. This policy explains what information the service handles and how it is used.

Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to deliver personal messages:

• The mobile phone numbers of family members who choose to text the service.
• The content of the messages (text and any photos) that those family members voluntarily send.

We do not collect location data, contacts, financial information, or any data beyond the messages people choose to send.

How we use this information

Message content and sender information are used for one purpose only: to display incoming messages to the single elderly user on her personal home device, and to deliver the short replies she dictates back to the family member who wrote to her. Messages are stored locally on her device so she can re-read them. The service is purely conversational and personal.

How we share information — we don't

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with any third party, and we never use it for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only processing by an outside party is the licensed messaging provider (Twilio) that transmits the SMS/MMS messages on our behalf, solely so the messages can be delivered.

Data retention

Messages are kept on the device only as long as useful for the family and can be deleted on request. To have your number or messages removed, contact us at the address below, or simply reply STOP to stop all messages.
