NamaPhone — Messaging Opt-In & Consent

What this service is

NamaPhone is a private, non-commercial, invitation-only family message line for a single elderly relative. Her own family members text her from their normal phones; she reads the messages on a large, simple home device and sends short personal replies. There is no public sign-up, no marketing, and no purchased or third-party contact lists. Every participant is an immediate family member personally known to the account holder.

How recipients opt in (Call-to-Action)

Consent is obtained directly from each participant — no message is ever sent to anyone who has not first opted in. There is no online sign-up form because this is a closed, one-family line.
  1. Family members opt in by texting first. Each family member is given this number directly by the family and starts the conversation by texting the number first. That inbound message is their opt-in. The device only ever replies to people who have already texted in — it never initiates contact with a number that has not messaged it first.
  2. The elderly recipient consented in person. The elderly family member for whom the device was built reviewed and agreed, in person and together with her family, to receive these messages and family photos on the device.

What is sent

Messages are one-to-one personal conversation and family photos only. There is never any marketing, promotional, or commercial content, and consent is never a condition of any purchase — nothing is sold.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies with family activity. Message and data rates may apply according to your own mobile carrier's plan. NamaPhone does not charge anyone to participate.

Opt-out and help

You can stop at any time. Reply STOP to unsubscribe; you will receive one confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP for assistance, or email ahaz86@gmail.com.
